Low Emissions Assistance Plan for Tenants & Landlords
The Low Emissions Assistance Plan for Tenants & Landlords from the Australian Government’s Energy Efficient Homes Package runs until 30 June 2011 and provides assistance of up to $1,000 to install ceiling insulation in eligible existing rental and other properties in Australia.
During this time tenants and landlords can have new ceiling insulation installed and in most cases, avoid payment by following the process outlined in the guidelines.
In order to qualify for this financial assistance tenants and landlords must fully comply with all the eligibility requirements set out in the guidelines (note: this scheme does not cover state or territory public housing):
